The Patterson Foundation created its Voter Education initiative to make Primary and General election information easily accessible to eligible and potential voters through the use of local and national resources. The Voter Education initiative provides nonpartisan information and materials to the community. Rather than instruct people on who or what to vote for, the goal is to equip voters with the tools needed to make independent and informed decisions based on their own analysis and priorities.

Increasing civic engagement by inspiring an active and educated electorate aligns with The Patterson Foundation’s commitment to strengthen the efforts of people, organizations, and communities through shared aspirations. When eligible voters are informed and engaged, the outcomes of our elections more truly reflect the needs and desires of our communities. The Voter Education initiative educates voters and voters-to-be on the impact of their individual votes and the importance of ensuring each person's voice is heard.

Voter Education engages voters in all four counties through digital resources, pop-ups, and materials to inform eligible voters about where and how to register, along with when and where to vote. The initiative shares resources that include, but are not limited to:

• Precinct information
• Primary and General election dates
• Early voting opportunities
• Vote-by-mail registration information

Voter Education also offers insight on how to learn about candidates and where to access ballot measure information including: bills, amendments, and local referenda.
