Embracing Dr. Seuss' Differences Day in Sarasota and Manatee Counties
The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Embracing Our Differences, The Patterson Foundation, and United Way of Manatee County joined together to celebrate Dr. Seuss' messages of tolerance and the joy of reading on March 2, 2016. Across the Suncoast region 337 classrooms hosted a guest reader. Thanks to the generosity of the Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, 2001 students from Title 1 schools received a Dr. Seuss book to add to their home libraries. #glreading
