Communities for All Ages

Communities for All Ages

The Purpose

As more and more people are living longer, there is a growing desire among all generations to pursue longevity and maintain well-being at any age. This has driven the creation of wide-reaching movements and networks across the globe that are helping people achieve their aspirations for healthy, active, and engaged living. The Suncoast, which is home to large populations of people at both ends of the aging spectrum, has a unique opportunity to apply the knowledge of these networks while further refining their approaches to healthy aging to benefit people in Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties.

Strengthening the Impact

Communities for All Ages is an initiative strengthening opportunities that optimize quality of life for people across each generation. The Patterson Foundation is capitalizing on its experience and work in healthy aging to incubate national and global longevity movements in its home region to localize and inform their efforts simultaneously.
