Matching $250,000 in Jingle Bell Run Donations to Help Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter Thrive
Posted on November 02, 2011 by Debra Jacobs, president and CEO of The Patterson FoundationBy Debra Jacobs, President and CEO, The Patterson Foundation
The Patterson Foundation values enabling partnerships to thrive financially.
In the case of the Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter, this included establishing an endowment that enables the AFFC to operate and continue to work toward a world free of arthritis pain for many years to come.
With that, we are proud to announce The Patterson Foundation is continuing its partnership with the Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter (AFFC) by issuing a $250,000 matching challenge for the 2011 statewide Jingle Bell Run/Walk event series. All increased donations by race location - based on 2010 figures - will qualify for the match.
In addition to the Jingle Bell Run/Walk locations, we are matching donations to the Virtual Jingle Bell Run/Walk event and the South Florida Arthritis Walks in Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties in November.
This year’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk events will take place in seven Florida cities in addition to the online “virtual” event throughout November and December.
- Pensacola Beach - Nov. 26, 2011
- Punta Gorda - Dec. 2, 2011
- Ft. Walton Beach - Dec. 3, 2011
- Jacksonville - Dec. 3, 2011
- Tampa - Dec. 3, 2011
- Bradenton - Dec. 16, 2011
- Orlando - Dec. 17, 2011
South Florida Arthritis Walks
- Palm Beach County – Lake Worth Arthritis Walk - Nov. 12, 2011
- Miami-Dade Arthritis Walk – Nov. 12, 2011
Through this contribution, The Patterson Foundation hopes that it helps inspire philanthropy and generosity. Building upon the 2010 Jingle Bell Run/Walk matching challenge success will position AFFC to self-thrive.
