Bringing Science Home, a $5.6 million collaboration between The Patterson Foundation and USF Health, has been extended from three years to five years.
In addition, The Patterson Foundation announced it has issued a $2 million dollar-for-dollar matching challenge that will create the potential for a $4 million endowment for the initiative. This will ensure the initiative thrives financially and continues to support those with chronic diseases such as diabetes.
"This initiative is about helping people live better with chronic health conditions,” said Nicole Johnson, executive director of Bringing Science Home. “We are working to improve the daily lives of people affected by creating programs and tools for individuals and training programs for health professionals.”
