The Patterson Foundation Contributes $1 Million, Issues $1 Million Challenge to Inspire Support for Endowment Fund
Posted on April 01, 2011 by The Patterson FoundationAs part of Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School’s fundraising campaign kick-off, The Patterson Foundation presented CMHS with a $1 million check to establish the Sister M. Lucia Haas Scholarship Endowment for student tuition assistance. The gift, challenge and creation of the endowment honor the devout faith of the foundation’s benefactor, Dorothy Patterson.
In addition to the initial gift, The Patterson Foundation is offering up to an additional $1 million in a matching challenge to inspire an already generous community to contribute and participate in philanthropy to support CMHS.
Together, with the initial endowment gift of $1 million and the success of the $1 million matching challenge, the Sister M. Lucia Haas Endowment campaign will result in more than $3 million being added to the endowment fund.
The school’s campaign received additional support from the foundation with the unveiling of new school and spirit logos and professionally designed campaign materials, provided through TPF’s strategic communications partner. TPF also provided resources for the creation of the school’s new campaign video.
