SCGLR's 2020 Community Update Meetings: An energizing and inspirational week

Friends,

What an energizing and inspirational week this has been. More than 260 passionaries attended one (or more) of our Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading Community Update Meetings.

We were able to

• come together virtually to reconnect to the importance of our shared mission
• take a few moments to feel pride in receiving six 2019 Pacesetter honors (Click here to view the Pacesetter Video)
• get a glimpse into THIS BOOK IS COOL! and the Suncoast Summer Reading Challenge (Click here to view the THIS BOOK IS COOL! Summer Recap Video)
• hear about the county-specific work happening across our region thanks to the outstanding presentations from Bronwyn Beightol, Angie Matthiessen, Kirsten Russell, and Nicole Light
• learn about the valuable new tool put forth by the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundation, The Florida Gap Map, beautifully presented by Jacki Dezelski, Justin Brand, Heather Kasten, and Ashley Coone
• begin to investigate the possibilities of bringing Stronger Me, Stronger We to all four counties
• and renew and affirm our commitment to the children of our region.

While I wish we could have safely gathered in person, your responses to our after-meeting survey show us you valued the time we could spend together virtually. Your supporting words continue to inspire and affirm the good work happening across our region. Many of you have asked for recordings of the meetings that you can share with others.
