We kicked off the Legacy of Valor campaign just two months ago, and today we're pleased to announce more than a dozen new community partners will join us to honor veterans, inspire patriotism and pass freedom on to others. While the majority of the new partners are based in Manatee County– including organizations like Realize Bradenton, the Bradenton Marauders and the South Florida Museum – the expansion also includes Sarasota-based partners, such as Thunder by The Bay and the Baltimore Orioles.
With more than 30 partners on board in the four-county region – Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto –the Legacy of Valor campaign has the potential to reach more than 900,000 residents, including thousands of veterans (more than 48,000 in Sarasota alone) and additional visitors during the yearlong series of events and activities that culminate in 2014.
These partnerships are creating new realities in the ways our community connects with veterans and encourages everyone to participate by paying it forward – whether through time, talent or treasure.
