Remake Learning Days Across America: The Nation's Biggest Family-Friendly Festival of Learning Comes to Florida's Suncoast in 2022
Posted on March 31, 2022 by Connor LaGrange, TPF Fellow 2021/23A 10-day festival of events celebrating learning is coming to Florida's Suncoast between April 29th and May 8th, 2022. Presented by the Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and The Patterson Foundation, more than 140 events will be hosted by various organizations — schools, libraries, community centers, nonprofits, etc. All the events are designed for parents and caregivers to learn alongside their kids and offer relevant and engaging educational experiences for youth of all ages (PreK through high school). All events are free.
"We are excited to share the joy of Remake Learning Days Across America right here in the Suncoast Region," said Beth Duda, director of the Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading with The Patterson Foundation. "We are the 17th region in the country to be invited to participate, and the response from our community has been tremendous."
Suncoast Remake Learning Days will include more than 140 events that will make new ways of learning fun and accessible to children and families, reinforcing that "Learning Happens Everywhere."
All Suncoast Remake Learning Days events fall under one of six learning themes: arts, maker spaces, outdoor learning, science, technology, and youth voice. There are also professional development sessions for educators, parents, and caregivers.
Each day of the 10-day festival (April 29th – May 8th) features an array of events where children and the adults in their lives can experience learning in new ways. Below is just a small sampling from the first two days of listings. Click here to access the complete event guide.
