Bringing Science Home to host Students with Diabetes National Conference
Posted on April 20, 2012 by The Patterson FoundationBringing Science Home, a program created in partnership with USF Health and The Patterson Foundation, will host the inaugural Students with Diabetes national conference June 1-3 at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
The conference will feature speakers, activities and a venue to bring together young adults ages 18-30 living with diabetes. Many attendees will be students from one of the more than two dozen Students with Diabetes chapters at colleges across the country.
Led by former Miss America Nicole Johnson, Bringing Science Home created the Students with Diabetes organization as a way to help young adults living with diabetes connect with each other and strategize ways to face the challenges created by living with the chronic condition.
