Please join us in welcoming the Bradenton Farmers' Market and the Pittsburgh Pirates as the newest partners of the Legacy of Valor campaign.

The Bradenton Farmers Market will host two community events on March 1 and March 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the farmers market in downtown Bradenton  (12th Street West) to honor veterans and showcase organizations that provide services to veterans.

The "Downtown Bradenton Farmers' Market Celebrates Legacy of Valor" events will include live music performed by local veteran music groups, educational  resources, and a donation drive to create care packages for active service men and women deployed outside the United States.

In March, the Pittsburgh Pirates will host 30 veterans from the Wounded Warrior project in a special training clinic, followed by a  “Salute to Veterans” spring training game at McKechnie Field in Bradenton.

The spring training game will include pre-game ceremonies recognizing the 30 Wounded Warriors chosen to participate.  The first 2,500 fans will receive a free baseball hat and small American flag to display during the game. Post-game activities include a fireworks show and patriotic themed concert.
