A2A Live! Public Innovators in Action

Posted on July 11, 2019 by The Patterson Foundation

The Patterson Foundation (TPF) has worked with Rich Harwood since 2012 in various ways. Since that time, more than 200 public innovators have participated in Aspirations to Actions, the initiative connecting leaders to The Harwood Institute. By inspiring people and communities to #TurnOutward, Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties are making the community — not the conference room — the reference point for change by connecting and engaging within communities to evolve dialogue leading to the realization of shared aspirations and a better future for all.

Aspirations to Actions encourages public innovators to approach challenges and issues by listening, and not arriving with the answer. As Harwood principles are embedded across the region, TPF has created A2A Live! to discover how community leaders have been exhibiting enhanced leadership and new competencies while making tangible progress on issues as each one of us has lived this work in different ways.

Introducing A2A Live!, your invitation to participate.
The Patterson Foundation invites you to share with Rich Harwood, TPF, and your community how being a public innovator has impacted your life, and as an added incentive, offers the opportunity to be awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2019 Harwood Summit.

What is the Harwood Summit?
A unique three-day opportunity for leaders from across the nation to deepen their understanding of how they are a part of building something bigger than themselves. The Summit will be Thursday, September 19 through Saturday, September 21, 2019, in Philadelphia, PA.

How can you be awarded this unique experience?
Submit your testimonial, your choice of up to 4 short essays, using this form by 5pm EDT on Friday, July 26, 2019. You can submit one, two, three or four stories. The more you submit, the better your chances! The winner will be announced on Friday, August 9, 2019.

Can’t make the Harwood Summit but have a great story to tell...
Fantastic! We value your experience and hope that you’ll share it with us through the same form. As we look forward to 2020, we would love to have you join us at the A2A Reunion in the spring.
