The Patterson Foundation hosted its second Harwood Public Innovators Lab in late September 2016 with nearly 120 attendees representing the Manatee County and Sarasota County Library Systems and initiatives of The Patterson Foundation.
Harwood Institute Founder Rich Harwood and his Coaches led us in 2.5 days of learning about turning outward, aspirations, intentionality, authority, authenticity, accountability, community conversations, public knowledge, community rhythms and how we can embed all of these concepts into our personal lives, our organizations, and ultimately, our community.
Bill Wagy, video producer extraordinaire, was on hand to interview Rich Harwood, as well as capture the reflections of some newly-graduated Harwood Public Innovators. From hope and possibilities, to action and transformation, you’ll find their thoughts inspiring!
Let’s take a look…
Rich Harwood, Founder of the Harwood Institute of Public Innovation, motivated all the attendees with his message of hope and possibilities, and revealed how bringing people together can move the community forward in a positive way.
Sarabeth Kalajian, Director of the Sarasota Library System, tells us that listening and learning people’s aspirations leads us to possibilities.
Karen Windon, Deputy County Administrator of Manatee County, believes that engaging people around their aspirations and having the framework to move from aspirations to action is transformational.
