What Did We Learn?
- Getting Started with AI: AI is not a singular tool but a broad discipline aimed at helping computers think and react like humans. AI is already embedded in many daily-use tools, making it crucial for individuals to develop comfort with its functionalities.
- AI can enhance efficiency in various areas:
- Writing and Communication: Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini (Google), Claude (Anthropic), and Microsoft Copilot assist in content generation.
- Meeting Management: AI-driven transcription services like Zoom AI note-taker and ChatGPT’s ability to summarize handwritten notes.
- Learning and Information Processing: Notebook LM (Google) allows users to upload documents, generate summaries, or even create AI-generated audio versions for learning on the go.
- Image and Video Generation: Platforms like Midjourney, Leonardo, and Photoshop’s Generative Fill can create and edit images efficiently
- Challenges & Limitations of AI
- AI hallucinations (producing incorrect or misleading information).
- Bias in AI outputs due to training data.
- Data privacy concerns: Users should avoid inputting sensitive or confidential information.
- AI lacks true comprehension; it merely predicts the best set of words based on input.
- How to Get Started with AI: First, experiment with AI tools to develop a comfort level. Then, learn how to craft effective prompts for better output. Understand that AI won’t replace humans, but those who use it will outperform those who don’t.
With one of your highest attendance records yet, the topic of AI was relevant to our modern world, which is increasingly going digital!
