Deb Sakellarios

Deb Sakellarios works as a managing director at the Robin Hood Foundation, New York’s largest poverty-fighting organization. Over its 25 year history, Robin Hood has distributed more than $1.25 billion to hundreds of New York City-based soup kitchens, homeless shelters, schools, job training programs, and other vital services that give New York’s neediest citizens the tools they need to build better lives for themselves and their families.

In this role, Deb leads the capacity-building team to diagnose and develop solutions to the management needs of grant recipients, sets priorities for the implementation of these projects, and conducts successful interventions.

Prior to joining Robin Hood, she served as senior campus strategic services associate at Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. There, she worked on board development, strategic planning, and fundraising. Deb also spent six years working in the private sector as a management consultant at Accenture and Wunderman. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Rochester and dual master’s degrees in organizational and counseling psychology from Columbia University.
