The Patterson Foundation has issued a $250,000 matching challenge for the 2011 statewide Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter (AFFC) Jingle Bell Run/Walk events. All increased donations by event location – based on 2010 figures – will qualify for the match.
“Through this matching challenge, we are furthering our efforts to inspire philanthropy and generosity,” said Debra Jacobs, president and CEO of The Patterson Foundation. “The matched donations will help ensure the Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter can continue to thrive and make a positive impact in Florida communities.”
In September, The Patterson Foundation seeded the Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter endowment with $400,000 in match dollars from the 2010 Jingle Bell Run/Walk event series.
“We are grateful that The Patterson Foundation has chosen to continue this partnership with us for the 2011 event series,” said Anne Fair Forrest, president and CEO of Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter. “The Patterson Foundation’s generosity greatly enhances our efforts in moving to a world free of arthritis pain.”
