The Digital Access for All Resource Library is Live!

Posted on February 26, 2021 by Kiarra Louis, consultant with The Patterson Foundation
Since June 2020, the Digital Access for All team has had conversations with national and state organizations and county leaders to explore digital access, especially since COVID-19 has exacerbated the digital divide. These conversations explored how individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and government are working to provide connectivity, devices, and skills & support to underserved and disconnected communities. Providing these three essential elements allows people to use broadband internet in a meaningful way to learn, work, and play,

After exploring these innovative efforts, we are now excited to share the many resources which have helped shape our understanding of the complex issue that is the digital divide through our brand-new DA4A Resource Library! With more than 100 resources, this evolving library consists of online articles and books, printable awareness materials, and webinars. To filter by topic, choose the "CLICK HERE TO FILER" link, then click on the keyword to find information relevant to your interests and needs. Keywords include affordability/asset-limited, connectivity, devices, digital skills & training, education, federal/state government, and more. Each resource is accompanied by a brief synopsis that gives an overview and shares key takeaways and highlights. With this Resource Library, we aspire to disseminate meaningful resources for digital inclusion.

If you have a resource or know of a national, regional, or local effort you'd like us to include in the DA4A Resource Library, contact DA4A at digitalaccess@thepattersonfoundation.org to be considered. We look forward to sharing information on emerging efforts to identify opportunities to address the needs of our four-county area in Florida: Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota.
