Dorothy Patterson lived with rheumatoid arthritis for many years. In her honor, The Patterson Foundation has partnered with Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter to inspire philanthropy, greater generosity and participation in its 2010 Jingle Bell Run/Walk series.
The Patterson Foundation issued a matching challenge and matched funds raised for the 2010 Jingle Bell Run/Walk events up to $250,000.
In addition to matching funds, The Patterson Foundation donated $10 per person who 'Liked' the Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter on Facebook - a maximum of $50,000 to help build the Arthritis Foundation Florida Chapter's social media communications capacity.
